Output naming
Use names that explain the project without requiring an editor to open it. A good name identifies the workspace or project, story, output type, and date.
Naming pattern
For working sets:
<Workspace or project> - <Story or search theme> - Working Set - <YYYY-MM-DD>For outputs:
<Workspace or project> - <Story or episode> - <Output type> - <YYYY-MM-DD>Do not use test or demo for work that may appear in a review or handoff.

Names from the enriched demo
1 Find the project by title, 2 verify its story/brief, 3 identify the option, 4 open that option in Studio.
| Surface | Actual example |
|---|---|
| Working Set / Produce story | Vesuvius 1944 — damage and response |
| Studio project slug | vesuvius-1944-damage-and-response |
| Separate drama project | elephants-dream-machine-tour |
| Render label | vesuvius-1944-damage-and-response · 2026-08-31_05-02-16.mp4 |
Keep 1944 in the story name: the 2026 render timestamp is when the file was created, not when the news event happened. A project title, option name, and render label are different identifiers; check all three during handoff.
The aviation parent currently has an asset-derived title, while its option is Record Flight to Washington. Use the human-readable option name to identify the take and improve generic parent titles before handing work to another editor. Media credits.
